I never write reviews until I have had a chance to use a product for at least a month. However, since this item is new and does not have any reviews, I figured it may help some people if I review it now and update later if necessary.

I bought this at Target today since it is not Prime eligible and my psoriasis is flaring so bad right now. It was also a few bucks cheaper. Still quite expensive for such a small bottle. I have psoriasis on my face and all over my head, so a lot is needed.

This is basically the same feel, smell, and texture as the regular Gold Bond Ultimate healing, which is much cheaper. The main difference is the salicylic acid. I wonder if you couldn’t just buy some salicylic acid and mix it in with the Gold Bond ultimate healing and get more for your money. Maybe I will find out someday. This is a very thick lotion. However, it does absorb pretty quickly. If you are like me and your psoriasis prevents anything from absorbing, this does fairly well. You can still feel it on your skin with your fingers many hours later, but it does not cake up like so many other moisturizers. Be warned, though. When it rains or your skin gets wet, often times this will lift a little and you may find yourself with embarrassing white streaks on your face.

After one use, it is hard to say how well this will really work. Still, the first use went quite well. The salicylic acid was enough to help reduce scaling right away. However, the mixture of the moisturizers was enough to combat it from overly attacking the scales and causing more. If you have tried anywhere near as many psoriasis products as I have, you know what I mean. It does have that aloe-y smell to it, but it isn’t overly strong. I am allergic to aloe and it didn’t bother me. After a couple of hours, itching did start to come back some. Still, a vast improvement.

    Pros:
    Absorbs well.
    Doesn’t smell bad.
    Hypoallergenic.
Burns flare ups, but not as bad as other psoriasis products with salicylic acid.
    Immediately helps reduce scaling.
    Doesn’t cake up.

    Cons:
    Expensive.
Doesn’t spread as easy as some. I need to spread it through my hair.
Wish it was clear instead of white, but most are white.
    May lift off when wet.

If things get better or worse, I will provide an update. So far, happy with first use.

I’ve used about everything on the market and love this product. When it came out recently I bought it at Walgreens and then couldn’t get it again as it was out of stock. So, Amazon to the rescue again and at a cheaper price! Psoriasis is very complicated, what works for one person may very well not work for another. I’ve spent much more on other products that did absolutely nothing, this worked for me, thank goodness. Photos are about 10 days apart, before and after.
